Is this a solid replacement for template and page builder WordPress sites?

Could Relume replace WordPress templates and page builder plugins?

I’ve been checking out Relume this morning, a new AI tool designed to speed up website creation.

It’s still in early development but already looks really promising – a step up from traditional templates and page builder WordPress sites.

🛠️ Here’s how we’d use it:

1️⃣ Brand Discovery – Define the brand, it’s online presence and what the website needs to achieve.

2️⃣ Structure & Design – Use Relume to generate a site map, page structure, and basic block design.

3️⃣ Brand Application – Apply brand styles and assets to bring it to life.

4️⃣ Export to WordPress – Provide website owners with the content management freedom they expect and a solid foundation for future growth.

It’s not a replacement for fully bespoke design & development, but when budget constraints dictate scope, it could be a great alternative.

You’d still get a lean, scalable site – without the bloat of commercial templates – and in less time.

🔜 What’s Next?

You can export the wireframes from Relume currently, but not the the site structure with the branding elements applied. That’s coming in March. I’m already thinking about writing my own process to convert Relume sites to WordPress blocks.

Since:

⚛️ Both Relume & Gutenberg use React components—they should integrate well.

🎨 Relume is built with Tailwind CSS, which is widely used.

🔧 I’d add Twig for HTML templating (never going back!) and ACF for easy content management.
