Sustainable Working Practices Policy
Our Approach
We believe digital work shouldn’t come at the planet’s expense. At Jambi Digital, we take practical, realistic steps to reduce our environmental impact and to promote sustainability across our operations and projects.
How We Work Sustainably
1. Remote-first and low-impact operations
We’re a small, remote-first studio. This means no daily commutes, minimal office energy use, and flexible working patterns that keep our carbon footprint low.
2. Sustainable hosting and infrastructure
We work with hosting partners who use energy-efficient data centres powered by renewable energy wherever possible (including WP Engine and Cloudflare).
3. Responsible procurement
We choose suppliers and tools that align with our values — prioritising companies with strong environmental credentials and transparent sustainability policies.
4. Digital efficiency
Our websites are built for performance — lightweight, optimised, and efficient — helping to reduce data transfer, improve accessibility, and lower energy use for end users.
5. Travel and events
When travel is necessary, we prefer public transport or car-sharing. For client meetings and events, we default to online collaboration tools unless in-person attendance adds clear value.
6. Community and continuous improvement
We actively support Bristol’s creative community and contribute to events and initiatives that promote sustainable, inclusive growth in the digital sector.
Responsibility and Review
This policy is reviewed annually and updated as our business evolves and new opportunities for improvement arise.
