About Jambi
Hello to you.
Jambi is essentially just me, Rob. A seasoned code nerd with an empathetic, collaborative approach to work and website projects.
Jambi started in 2018. Before that, I was Head of Development at a London-based digital agency, where I built and managed a team of developers. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of working on some great projects with even better people.
I collaborate with designers, agencies, marketing teams and business owners, and I’m very happy being the nerd in the room without feeling the need to make everything sound technical. I’m not interested in making things complicated for the sake of it. I’m a good listener, but I’m not afraid to challenge ideas or put my years of experience to good use.
Jambi has stayed deliberately small because I like working this way. There’s no account manager, sales team or chain of people between you and the person actually doing the work. If we’re working together, you’re working with me.
Outside of work, my nerdiness extends to music. I try to listen to around 200 newly released albums a year, compiling various ‘album of the year’ lists and getting into the nitty-gritty of everything from progressive metal and minimal techno to all-out pop bangers. Some of my favourite albums from the last few years are by Igorrr, Jamie xx, Lady Gaga, Moses Yoofee Trio and Caroline Polachek. Musical musings at the end of project calls are always most welcome!
